Affirmations – a supportive tool to create positive change

Affirmations have been proven to support improving well-being, self-confidence and so much more. Studies show that when a person consistently practices affirmations, it can activate parts of the brain that are associated with self-related processing and reward.   The repetition of certain thoughts or “affirmations” has been proven to change the brain in a positive way as the brain has what’s called neuroplasticity . This essentially means it has the ability to form and reorganize synaptic connections. There was a neuropsychologist who once said, “Neurons that fire together, wire together.” What this means is if a person affirms daily and consistently “I am confident” or “I am well” the connection between neurons is strengthened leading to improved well-being and/or confidence.  This practice also supports overcoming or managing  Addiction  Anxiety Depression, and other mental health matters.
